MUSA
WCED has been collaborating with MUSA , a volunteer group involved in socio-economic development, in youth leadership and resilience Development Programme. One of the projects is exam support and our FET SCPs are presenting on ITV (a community TV station) on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Learners and teachers will find the broadcasts as well as supporting documentation to guide NSC examination preparation on this page.

PHET Interactive Maths and Science Simulations
PhET provides fun, free, interactive, research-based science and mathematics simulations. The simulations are written in HTML5 (with some legacy simulations in Java or Flash), and can be run online or downloaded to your computer. All simulations are open source (see our source code). Multiple sponsors support the PhET project, enabling these resources to be free to all students and teachers. For more information please visit: https://phet.colorado.edu/

Telematic Schools Project
Telematics is the blending of information and telecommunications technologies to convey information over large networks. Learners, irrespective of their locality, are able to interact with teachers in fully interactive virtual learning spaces.

The WCED ePortal: A OneStop Service to Schools
The vision of the ePortal is to be the preferred educational site for digital content for especially Western Cape schools, inclusive of learners, educators, parents and school management. We want to achieve this through the designing, development and curation of appropriate South African interactive digital content that is aligned to the curriculum or as enhancement resources, hosted within a curriculum focused ecosystem.

Western Cape Environmental Education
A suite of Environmental Education Resources, also known as ESD Resources, has been developed by an intergovernmental platform in the region, the Western Cape Environmental Education Forum, also known as EE Friends. Resources have been also sourced from other Teacher Support Institutions and Organizations in Southern Africa. Resources may be accessed for teacher and learner support in the classroom, as well as resources for outdoor environmental education programmes offered by various organisations that seek to add value to the formal education.
